How it works
Every day in the range is checked against the weekend you choose; the rest are counted as working days. By default both the start and end dates are counted.
When adding working days, the start date itself is not counted: one working day after a Friday is the next Monday.
Public holidays are not included, because they differ by country and region. Subtract them yourself; you can look them up at nonworkingdays.app.
Formula
Working days = days in range − weekend days in range Adding n working days: step one day at a time, counting only non-weekend days, until n are counted
Worked example
From Thursday 1 January to Thursday 31 December 2026 there are 365 days, of which 104 fall on a Saturday or Sunday, leaving 261 working days. Ten working days after 1 January 2026 is Thursday 15 January.
